On the Viscoelastic Drift Behavior During Nanoindentation

چکیده
Nanoindentation measurements frequently involve a hold period at the peak load to allow material reach stabilized state. A dwell time is also commonly employed sufficiently low after unloading, quantify thermal drift for correction of raw load-displacement data. This communication presents numerical case studies indentation loading on viscoelastic thin film using finite element method. We illustrate that simple can actually induce prominent even under load. The caused by itself, unrelated instrument. direction and magnitude are controlled prior loading/unloading history as well response fully relaxed elastic

Characterization of the linearly viscoelastic behavior of human tympanic membrane by nanoindentation.
Human tympanic membrane (or eardrum) is composed of three membrane layers with collagen fibers oriented in the radial and circumferential directions, and exhibits viscoelastic behavior with membrane (or in-plane) properties different from through-thickness (or out-of-plane) properties. Due to the interaction of bundled fibers and ground substance, which is inhomogeneous, these properties could ...

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Characterization of Viscoelastic Properties of Polymeric Materials through Nanoindentation
Nanoindentation is used to determine the dynamic viscoelastic properties of six polymer materials. It is shown that varying the harmonic frequency of the nanoindentation does not have any significant effect on the measured storage and loss moduli of the polymers. Agreement is found between these results and data from DMA testing of the same materials. Varying the harmonic amplitude of the nanoi...
متن کاملMultilayer Quasi-Linear Viscoelastic Characterization of Porcine Aorta Using Nanoindentation
In a wide range of applications from traumatic injury to stent grafts, the arterial wall has been considered as a homogeneous single-layer vessel, ignoring the fact that arteries are composed of distinct anatomical layers with different mechanical characteristics. The multilayer nature of arteries has an important influence in the development of mathematical models to predict large deformations...
